Producer/singer-songwriter, Max Epstein has kept busy since the start of Los Angeles, CA dream-pop/indie project, Photographic Memory back in 2013. Max has consistently released genre-straddling singles, mixtapes, and EPs throughout the years, while also collaborating and producing for artists as varied as hardcore upstarts Militarie Gun and alternative mainstays Cold War Kids.
In the past year especially, we’ve seen Max exponentially grow Photographic Memory into what it is today. With every new single, you can hear Photo Mem expanding and improving, and after every listen, you can walk away with a catchy melody in your head.
This new collection of songs is Photographic Memory’s second full-length project, and stays true to the preceding statement. With the collaboration of multiple producers & songwriters, including Sir Sly’s Landon Jacobs (“Hear Nothing”) and indie rock up-and-comer Rat Tally (“Twirl Back”) you can hear Photographic Memory start to shine to its full potential. Taking influences from 90’s alternative-pop bands like Yo La Tengo, My Bloody Valentine, The Sundays and Bjork, and combining them with Photo Mem’s roots in emo influences from Red House Painters and American Football, Max is able to create a diverse collection of some of the most energetic, catchy, heartwarming and sometimes heartbreaking songs on this full-length project.
This collection will be available on a limited pressing of 100 12” Black vinyl this spring from Sunday Drive Records.

If you played this for me and told me it came out in 1998, I'd have no reason to disbelieve you. An emo revival record in the purest sense—not just influenced by, but a recreation of. 4010
